Passports in Hand – Our Journey to Adventure!
The wait is over—our passports are finally here!
We applied together on January 8, 2025, sending in all our documents at the same time. In less than three weeks, Laurie had hers in hand, and a week later, her birth certificate arrived back as well. Meanwhile, David’s passport status had barely moved—it was stuck in “in process” limbo.
For weeks, we checked the status daily, watching for any progress. Just as Laurie was gearing up to escalate things (and maybe call in some elected officials), the status miraculously changed to “approved”!
Now, after eight long weeks, we finally have both passports in hand. The adventure can officially begin! Whether it’s an elopement abroad or a honeymoon full of unforgettable moments, we’re ready to take on the world—together.
