Why we set up this website
Hey everyone!
We wanted to take a moment to explain why we decided to set up this website. With our friends and family scattered all over the globe, it’s been hard for many of you to see us together as a couple. We hope this website helps you feel more connected to our journey and lets you be part of our elopement in a meaningful way.
We’d love nothing more than to have each and every one of you with us in person to celebrate our special day. However, with the current health concerns of our closest family and the realities of a post-pandemic world, it’s just too risky to organize a large gathering. We both dream of a stress-free, intimate ceremony in a unique place, but accommodating everyone in such a setting has proven challenging.
Over the past few years, we’ve realized how important it is to adapt and find new ways to stay connected with our loved ones. This is especially true when it comes to big life events like this one. So, we thought long and hard about how we could include all of you in our celebration without the stress and risks that come with travel and large gatherings.
That’s where the idea of a livestream came in. By streaming our elopement, we hope to strike a balance between keeping things low-stress for us and ensuring all of you can be part of our special day, no matter where you are in the world. This way, you can join us in celebrating our love and commitment without any worries about health risks or logistical challenges.
We also wanted this website to be a place where we can share our story, our plans, and our experiences as a couple. We’ll be posting updates, photos, and little snippets of our journey together, so you can feel like you’re right there with us. From the early days of our relationship to the moment we decided to elope, and everything in between – we want to share it all with you.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate this exciting new chapter in our lives. Your presence, even virtually, means the world to us. We’re so grateful to have such an amazing group of friends and family, and we can’t wait to share our big day with you through this website and the livestream.
